What we prepare
Each service addresses a specific point where models fail — from raw geometry through final export settings.
Mesh Repair and Cleanup
Non-manifold edges, inverted normals, open boundaries, and self-intersecting faces are the four most common reasons a slicer refuses to process a file. We locate each issue, assess whether it can be auto-fixed or needs manual correction, and document every change made to the geometry.
Wall Thickness Analysis
Features below printable minimums look fine in a viewer but collapse or disappear in the output. Analysis is done against your specific material and nozzle size, not generic defaults.
Orientation and Support Planning
Print orientation affects surface quality, support volume, and layer adhesion strength. We evaluate trade-offs for each model and recommend the orientation that fits your stated priorities.
Scale and Tolerance Adjustment
Assemblies and functional parts require dimensional corrections that account for material shrinkage and printer accuracy. We adjust clearances for press-fit, slip-fit, and threaded connections.
Group Preparation Sessions
Structured sessions for 4–8 participants working on their own models simultaneously. A facilitator guides the sequence, the group reviews each file together, and participants leave with corrected models and a reusable checklist.
How a session runs
Each preparation follows the same sequence regardless of model complexity. Steps are not skipped — they take different amounts of time.
File inspection
Import the model, run automated checks, and log all detected issues before touching anything.
Geometry correction
Repair mesh errors in order of severity. Document which fixes were automated and which required manual intervention.
Print feasibility check
Verify wall thickness, overhangs, and minimum feature sizes against the target printer and material profile.
Orientation and scaling
Set final orientation, apply dimensional corrections, and confirm fit within the build volume.
Export and handoff
Export to the requested format with a summary of all changes made and any remaining considerations for the print operator.
